Release notes

Firn keeps itself up to date.

New versions now arrive on their own. Firn downloads them quietly in the background and switches over the next time you open it. Nothing to click, nothing to install.

New

• Automatic updates on Windows.
• A native Mac icon that matches your Dock in light, dark, and tinted modes.

Better

• On a Mac, the window controls glide with the sidebar instead of floating over the page.

Fixed

• The sidebar no longer jumps when you let it settle after peeking.

Hello, Firn.

The first version for a few friends to try. Vertical tabs, spaces, Basecamp, Lookout, and split view, with a short welcome to show you around.

New

• Spaces to keep Work and Personal apart.
• Basecamp for your everyday sites.
• Lookout to peek at a link without leaving your page.
• Split view for two tabs side by side.
• Warnings for scam and malware sites.
